Oh! Who lives in a Pineapple, under the sea?

I received an email a few days ago that just made me smile the biggest smile.

A fellow crocheter adapted my Carpenter Hat pattern, and this is what she came up with:

HPIM0070.JPG SpongeBob Hat

How creative is that?? I mean, of all the combination of colors in the world, I would’ve never ‘seen’ Sponge bob in my pattern!!
I think this is too cute, and my children *love* these photos.
They recognized him right away, which to me, is always a sign that you’ve done it right!

Great Job! 😉
As for me and my crochet, I’ve been working on the afghan for my Dad. It’s about finished, but the weaving in process is going to be quite daunting. :hair:
When I started it, I didn’t know think to crochet over the ends as I was doing color changes, so there’s a whole bunch of loose ends!

I will put down the afghan to whip out a wide and thick scarf, because the temperature dropped substantially and tomorrow’s supposed to be 20 degrees. I’m going out tomorrow, and walking in 20 degrees… well, I need a scarf! 😉

This is a great idea! I love it (though I’m not fond of sponge bob! lol)
I love the stitch pattern you used for your baby blanket!

RE: the mitts…HI! There *are* warm! I like to knit with metal needles. I never developed a fondness for wood and they work well. My girls have worn theirs around the clock since I made them. And the shape is great, allows for lots of movement. Perfect for driving too and not wanting to touch the cold steering wheel. I am trying so hard to get another pair whipped out right now. :o)

I’ll have to have you over next week when life slows down. This week we have a spayed kitty and she will need it quiet here. I think *I* need it quiet here, LOL! :o)
