Hmmm…

When Barbara announced that there would be a new autumn series, I got so excited.  I waited… and waited… and finally, it was announced.

Cattails!  Cattails? Um, what in the world are cattails? Surely, this is something familiar only those on the east or west coast, or anywhere other than Bayou Country.

I sighed quietly to myself, and focused on our fall garden this week.  I’ll just wait until next week.  Hopefully, it won’t be dogtails or measuring snowfall! If we ever have a challenge entitled, “Skeeter Counting”, I’m IN!!!

Well, as we were leaving our neighborhood this morning, I sat, with my face pressed against the passenger window, (uh, no I wasn’t driving – tee hee), staring at creation passing by. Guess what I saw????

Cattails!  Or, at least that is what I think they are!  They are growing in a ditch by my neighbor’s house!! I was so excited, I think I screamed.

So… tomorrow, for our Nature Walk, we’re going up to the neighbor’s to examine that ditch closer!  I’m an truly excited!

hehehehe I knew you had to have them. You have had more rain than us so yours must look nice. Don’t you just love it when you had no idea about something and then there it is, right in front of you.

Can’t wait to see what you come do. Enjoy your fun.
